The WOW series 2 figure was awesome in person. The details, the coloring, the quality of the piece. For someone like myself that wants to collect them, this was a great addition to our collection. We had no problem in ordering or the delivery. It came packaged well so no issues with dents, breakage, crushing etc…

I was weary about buying this after all of the reviews that were on in about how he couldnt stand up right. But after getting this in the mail not buty 5 min. ago, i am pleased to say it was worth every penny. On its own it dosent stand up very well but if u put it on the stand that it came with there r no problem at all. Great product I plan on buying another one and would recommend this to anyone!!

I went ahead and got the Korg Highmountain figure because I wanted something big and imposing to adorn my shelves, and minotaurs are as good as it comes in my opinion–strong, honorable, intelligent, they’ve got feelings, they’ve got muscle, and they have horns.

So being a WarCraft fan I decided it’d be just as appropriate to get a Tauren figure, and that’s what I did. It arrived here just a few minutes ago, and after opening it and setting it victoriously on my primary display shelf, my overall rating is four stars for the following reasons:

    Pros I’ve found:
    - He’s big. And he is imposing. He’s also heavy.
    - Very well detailed–I’m not a major figurine collector or anything, I got him just because I thought it’d be groovy, and I have to say he’s very nicely detailed.
    - Removable weapon. By removing the thumb of the left hand, you can insert his boomstick (or any other similarly sized weapon, object, tree trunk–etcetera) into his mighty paw, and replace his thumb to hold the object in place. As one reviewer already mentioned, it does seem to want to pop out, but it hasn’t done it to me yet. Just takes some effort in getting everything situated just right so it doesn’t want to pop out.
    - Big and imposing. Really, I turn my head and look up at the shelf, and he just steals the spotlight. Pretty cool for an action figure.

    Cons’ I’ve found
    - Static. No, he doesn’t shock you–well, actually, his size did shock me–but I mean he doesn’t move. There’s no adjustable parts on him except for the removable thumb. This surprised me in a way, because I have an Orc Shaman figure by the same makers (I think), and you can rotate his forearms to a degree, allowing for a little bit of custom posing. But here, nope, nothin’.
    - Medium Quality Rifle; it certainly isn’t the center piece of the display, but I was rather taken aback by the quality of Korg’s boomstick/sythe. It’s quite light, and has a rather visible seam for me, but oh well. Certainly not too terrible.
    - Stability. Now here’s where other reviewers have also gotten a little miffed, and I agree with them–Korg is very top heavy. While those strong leg muscles would keep him standing balanced were he real, here they do not, and he has a tendency to want to fall over wherever you put him. I took some black paper and folded it a dozen times, sneakily slipping it under the front of his hooves to make him lean back a little bit instead of forward, and it seems to have solved my problem. Still, I’m sure there are ways balance could have been more properly obtained during production.
    - The Stand. By this I mean a black oval-shaped disk with two pegs sticking out of it, onto which Korg is supposed to stand in a threateningly awesome manner. Sadly not for me however, as the pegs are misaligned, and do not properly reach the other hole in Korg’s hooves. Poor bloke.
    - His mane. Very personal issue for me, really isn’t worth mentioning, but the mane on his back looks goofy, sticking out so far and so thick as it is. I think it’d have been cooler if they were finer strands, or if his broad back were without ‘em all together. I was thinking of getting some cloak or something for him. Customization, hoorah!

All in all, a very groovy model I’d say. He really is an awesome figure just to have in general I think, and aside from those few minor issues, there’s nothing really detracting from the model to the point of abandoning it. If you like minotaurs or Tauren, and are considering getting the figure, I’d say go for it. Just make sure you don’t put him too far on the edge of a shelf above your bed, or he’ll elbow drop you in your sleep and his sheer weight will probably break your ankle or something, heheh. (I’m just fooling around).

Also, I’ve given this ‘toy’ a very high rating for educational value, because I’m a weightlifter, and Korg here promotes physical fitness. Hoorah.

  5. Ehrlich says

When I first recieved mine in the mail i was like WHOA! AWESOME DETAIL! The other issues that I have had so far is that his thumb pops loose to easily (i’m thinking about supergluing it so i wont lose it) and his hooves are uneven. But other than that he’s perfect! Hes also BIG & HEAVY and since his hooves are uneven, don’t put him anywhere with glass around, he may fall and break the glass. He has already hit me in the head once. ouch.

  6. Anders says

Yep, it suffers from the same problem many of the figures of the Warcraft series have, an inability to stand when displayed. What’s really bizarre about this piece in particular is they went to the trouble of making a stand for him, but it’s worthless.

I don’t know if the pegs aren’t long enough, or he’s simply too top heavy, but he drops right down quite frequently. I have to prop him up using coffee mugs.

Another big miss for the line.

  7. Escobedo says

This Tauren is awesome! Its Detail is amazing! It has practically no articulation at all. But it is so cool.

  8. Shier says

Wonderfully made and perfect for the WoW player who has a female priest out there– I got it for someone who plays a Forsaken, as the priest is in shadowform and while it is meant to be human, it works just as well for a Forsaken. The packaging, while HUGE, really does protect the figure, and she is something you’d want to protect. My only quibble is that she really does need a stand, and a nice one, to properly display her.

  9. Talamantes says

I have been collecting this collection since the first round. and I must say the female priest is my favorite so far. Eligantly adorned in white and gold vestments, all the chains, mace and tome. She is well equiped to smite, shadow word and heal! dispite her heels she is very sturdy and balances well on flat surfaces all of the parts stay well together. The war figures dont make ideal toys “much to my nephews dismay”, however they dont seem easily breakable.

  10. Au says

It’s just like in the picture. Not a whole lot to say, it’s exactly what you’d expect.

  11. Chu says

This figure, as well as the others in the series, are well cast and painted & look wonderful on display. They are geared more to the collector or Warcraft/World Of Warcraft player rather than a child’s toy, but it is still a wonderful piece of eye candy from the Warcraft cannon. The toy itself came quickly and the packaging was in mint condition with no dents or creases; Great for the collectors out there.

  12. Venk says

My brother collects game figures, and Illidan was a wonderful addition. He remains in his box, but he’s still one handsome angry demon. The proportions and detail are amazing. Another friend of mine bought him as well, and sits out of the box on his desk. He’s well balanced, even in different positions. To anyone bitten by the WoW-bug, he’s definately worth buying. :]

  13. Heck says

This is a great ‘toy’ to display. Why do I say ‘toy’? Because it’s more of a statue, really. There’s no real useful points of articulation to change the pose at all. But that’s fine, in my book since they picked a pretty good pose.

His glaives are removeable. You have to have the base he comes with in order to stand him up properly due to the weight of his wings.

My only problem was that I expected him to be a bit larger. Even though it’s a foot tall, most of that is the wings.

Over all, it’s a great display piece and certainly great for the price. (If you get it at retail)

  14. Campbell says

Well someone gave me a six pack of these for Christmas, and I didn’t have the courage/boredom to drink one until today in June. So if that shelf life alters my opinion any, I apologize.

But I take great amusement out of the package itself – buy it just for the cute prop that it is, if nothing else.

Taste? Well it is very cloying, and very honey-sweet, yet sour in a way that is not like the sourness of Red Bull. I took a sip or two, and then realized that you are probably supposed to quaff the entire thing at once. Someone in another review complained of aftertaste, but I don’t notice any myself.

The taste, while intensely unusual, was, to me, more interesting than bad. Take that as you will.

As to energy itself… well who knows? I mean, I don’t actually plan to cast anything today, but I guess I’m well prepared now! ;)

  15. Qing says

I bought one of these and one of the health potions for fun–was going on a trip to meet up with some friends who would appreciate such items. Here’s what we all pretty much agreed on:

Visual: Small but very attractive packaging. Pretty much exactly what you might think a mana potion would look like in real life. Smaller than expected–but then it more easily explains how your character in World of Warcraft, or ‘toon, could carry 40 in one backpack.

Taste: Also explains why your ‘toon refuses to drink another one for several minutes, even if it means dying. Dying is preferable as long as you still have the aftertaste. Think cough syrup, only without the benefit of alcohol or drugs. Very glad it came in 50ml bottles–one good sized swig and it’s gone. After a short period of time, however, one starts to think it wasn’t that bad. An appropriate support group could probably help with that mild problem.

Effects: Works as advertised. Taken at approximately 17 hours of wakefullness after less than 5 hours of sleep the night prior, allowed me to stay awake for an additional 5 hours while still being able to focus and perform. Able to fall asleep when desired. Awoke the next morning feeling fine with no adverse effects.

Active ingredients: Per their website, contains 25 calories per serving, includes Vitamin C (10% RDA), B1 (80% RDA), B3 (130% RDA), B5 (80% RDA), B6 (1600% RDA), B12 (6667% RDA–no, not a typo) as well as caffeine and enzymes. Caffeine content roughly equivalent to two Red Bulls or four cups of coffee.

Bottom line: Works well, but I would not recommend for children based upon the caffeine and very large dose of B12.

  16. Chiu says

The picture on amazon makes this object seem cool and awesome. When You Get It The Bottle Is Really Really Small And It Has A NASTY As Heck Taste No Like “Yuck!!” But To The Point It Makes You Sick!!

  17. Sherrill says

I definitely wouldn’t consider this a toy; as it is an energy drink. Very whimsical and perfect for an active gamer! Beautifully displayed on the shelf at present moment. No desire to drink it as other reviews say its pretty gross. Overall, I was very pleased with the size of the product. Not too small and not too big. Very understandable how characters in World of Warcraft carry about 50+ of these little things!! :o )
