Additional hunter Resources

I was looking for something like this when I was at Australia Zoo last year and could not find anything. It was nice to find this on Amazon. The toy is cute. I like how it talks. It brings back a lot of good memories. Miss you Steve Irwin!! Cheers.

According to the comic, the Stealth Hunter is the air arm and the top esponiage unit for Exo-Force.It`s rival is the Fire Vulture, which is more armored. Now, here`s the cool part. It`s about the pilot, Hikaru, like other pilots, his head has dual faces to change expressions. The Stealth Hunter is always backed up by Takeshi`s Grand Titan,or else it`ll just end up half destroyed, forcing Ryo and his Uplink to repair it.I love it, but I still don`t have it.The Stealth Hunter is the best !!!!!!!!

The Stealth Hunter was my first Exo-Force set, and when I had finished it, I was amazed. It has a total of 10 joints (12 if you count the wing joints), all of which click and lock into place. The pilot’s head is double-sided, a cool, collected face on one side, and on the other is a mean, battle ready face, which really can add to imagination with the set. When used with a Fire Vulture, which, like the Stealth Hunter, can supposedly fly (according to the comic), this set adds up to some real fun.

My only gripes are that the light tube gets in the gun’s way sometimes, which does not allow it to pose in ways you want it to. This set is fun, with tons of features. I give it a 5/5.

I just got this and it was better than I imagined. I love Hikaru’s face changes and all the signs around the Stealh Hunter. I would prefer if the light brick was a different color though. I like way they put the flight things to the ship. I would recommend this to anyone ’cause it has a great play value but slight problems.

Ah, the Stealth Hunter! One of the best mechs of the Exo Force Line! Said to be the special missions flight mech of the humans; agile and fast, moderate firepower, but weak defense. Like the other 4 mechs released for the 06 Spring lineup, he features multiple articulation points, a “light up” brick, a book of decals, and a pilot.

The articulation alone is fantastic. The legs can assume nearly any pose, and really give the set playability and creativity. A “Laser Rifle” on his left arm features the light up brick, while the right arm has a double-sword. To be honest, that sword weapon put me off at first; in the world of mecha, it didn’t seem very practical. But this is a minor gripe of mine, and it doesn’t compromise the greatness of the set. There is also articulation in the “wings” on the shoulders of the Stealth Hunter, which aid it in (imaginary) flight.

The pilot figure, Hikaru, has a reversable head, to switch from calm collected to battle angered! The decal sheet has place-by-numbers instructions, but regardless, it may be difficult for some younger builders. Mom and pop might wanna do that.

Aside the light-up brick, the set itself has no full on action features, but that’s fine by me! The set itself is a marvel of design, with loads of potential play.

I bought this game because I love board games and I though I’d try something new. I particularly like Settlers of Catan, Diplomacy and Risk. I’ve only played Hunters & Gatherers a few times and it seems way too simple. Is this game aimed at younger kids? Do I need to play it more to pick up on strategies that I’m missing? Maybe this game is better for people who don’t enjoy more complicated games.

  6. Cass says

There are a few more subtle rules that make this game even better and more fun than the original. It is easier to play if you are already familiar with Carcassone, but don’t let the instructions overwelm you — it’s really not difficult. I highly recommend this game.

  7. Keen says

My and my friends have a lot of fun playing with this game. Very recommended if you want a easy to learn, easy play game.

  8. Islas says

I play in a Board Game Group in the Boston area, and I bring this game every week. It is my favorite game, but I think I am the only one with this favorite. This game is very easy to learn and play, so it is not for advanced gamers. The pieces are drawn nicely and the game has a solid design. It does not require A LOT of thinking, which can be either good or bad. The game is a good way to spend half an hour with friends.

We are having a great time with Carcassonne Hunters & Gatherers. Having played the original several times with out-of-state family, we decided it would be nice to own our own, not-quite-the-same version. And we think we like it a little better than the original (which is also a great game). For starters, it’s a lovely board. It can be played by two people and works as well as with a tableful. One can pursue various strategies and there are nearly always multiple options to choose from for each turn. The adults love it and so does our almost 12 year old. A much better way to spend the evening with your spouse than parked in front of the television–you interact more and your brain is active and engaged.

When I first recieved mine in the mail i was like WHOA! AWESOME DETAIL! The other issues that I have had so far is that his thumb pops loose to easily (i’m thinking about supergluing it so i wont lose it) and his hooves are uneven. But other than that he’s perfect! Hes also BIG & HEAVY and since his hooves are uneven, don’t put him anywhere with glass around, he may fall and break the glass. He has already hit me in the head once. ouch.

  11. Klause says

I was weary about buying this after all of the reviews that were on in about how he couldnt stand up right. But after getting this in the mail not buty 5 min. ago, i am pleased to say it was worth every penny. On its own it dosent stand up very well but if u put it on the stand that it came with there r no problem at all. Great product I plan on buying another one and would recommend this to anyone!!

  12. Pranolo says

This Tauren is awesome! Its Detail is amazing! It has practically no articulation at all. But it is so cool.

  13. Pimentel says

I went ahead and got the Korg Highmountain figure because I wanted something big and imposing to adorn my shelves, and minotaurs are as good as it comes in my opinion–strong, honorable, intelligent, they’ve got feelings, they’ve got muscle, and they have horns.

So being a WarCraft fan I decided it’d be just as appropriate to get a Tauren figure, and that’s what I did. It arrived here just a few minutes ago, and after opening it and setting it victoriously on my primary display shelf, my overall rating is four stars for the following reasons:

    Pros I’ve found:
    - He’s big. And he is imposing. He’s also heavy.
    - Very well detailed–I’m not a major figurine collector or anything, I got him just because I thought it’d be groovy, and I have to say he’s very nicely detailed.
    - Removable weapon. By removing the thumb of the left hand, you can insert his boomstick (or any other similarly sized weapon, object, tree trunk–etcetera) into his mighty paw, and replace his thumb to hold the object in place. As one reviewer already mentioned, it does seem to want to pop out, but it hasn’t done it to me yet. Just takes some effort in getting everything situated just right so it doesn’t want to pop out.
    - Big and imposing. Really, I turn my head and look up at the shelf, and he just steals the spotlight. Pretty cool for an action figure.

    Cons’ I’ve found
    - Static. No, he doesn’t shock you–well, actually, his size did shock me–but I mean he doesn’t move. There’s no adjustable parts on him except for the removable thumb. This surprised me in a way, because I have an Orc Shaman figure by the same makers (I think), and you can rotate his forearms to a degree, allowing for a little bit of custom posing. But here, nope, nothin’.
    - Medium Quality Rifle; it certainly isn’t the center piece of the display, but I was rather taken aback by the quality of Korg’s boomstick/sythe. It’s quite light, and has a rather visible seam for me, but oh well. Certainly not too terrible.
    - Stability. Now here’s where other reviewers have also gotten a little miffed, and I agree with them–Korg is very top heavy. While those strong leg muscles would keep him standing balanced were he real, here they do not, and he has a tendency to want to fall over wherever you put him. I took some black paper and folded it a dozen times, sneakily slipping it under the front of his hooves to make him lean back a little bit instead of forward, and it seems to have solved my problem. Still, I’m sure there are ways balance could have been more properly obtained during production.
    - The Stand. By this I mean a black oval-shaped disk with two pegs sticking out of it, onto which Korg is supposed to stand in a threateningly awesome manner. Sadly not for me however, as the pegs are misaligned, and do not properly reach the other hole in Korg’s hooves. Poor bloke.
    - His mane. Very personal issue for me, really isn’t worth mentioning, but the mane on his back looks goofy, sticking out so far and so thick as it is. I think it’d have been cooler if they were finer strands, or if his broad back were without ‘em all together. I was thinking of getting some cloak or something for him. Customization, hoorah!

All in all, a very groovy model I’d say. He really is an awesome figure just to have in general I think, and aside from those few minor issues, there’s nothing really detracting from the model to the point of abandoning it. If you like minotaurs or Tauren, and are considering getting the figure, I’d say go for it. Just make sure you don’t put him too far on the edge of a shelf above your bed, or he’ll elbow drop you in your sleep and his sheer weight will probably break your ankle or something, heheh. (I’m just fooling around).

Also, I’ve given this ‘toy’ a very high rating for educational value, because I’m a weightlifter, and Korg here promotes physical fitness. Hoorah.
