I look back with great fondness of using the Brainquest series in my youth. A combination of Uncle John Bathroom reader type info, and brain teasers to get you to think, the whole set definitely is worth the price. I will definitely buy these when I have children of my own, as I know this helped many a boring car trip or lazy afternoon in my youth.

Final Quest is the best, most inspiring book I’ve ever read (apart from the Holy scripture)in my whole life. Instead of the usual 2 hrs or less it takes me to read a book of this size,(approx 200 pgs) I took 2 wks to finish it. As I read, I had to pause and ponder, go back many times to reread pages and paragraphs, then meditate and digest the thought-provoking words of W/wisdom.

I highly highly recommend Final Quest to anyone who wants to progress spiritually in this life, and needs to get closer to God. I believe that Rick Joyner experienced these incredible, edifying visions, dreams, and/or out of body conversations with the Lord God, the prophets of old, and many others. Much of what Joyner spoke of in the Final Quest (and part 2-The Call) were what I already knew to be Truth!

Bless Joyner’s heart for sharing his spiritual experiences with us…to warn an ever-increasingly wicked world of the great and Final Judgment and to confirm the Saviour’s great Love for us.

Simply life changing! A “must have” for everyone who is aspiring to obtain a deeper walk. Rick’s heart and years of experience come through. The amazing, ferocious, yet invisible, battle raging all around us is unveiled though this compelling revelation.

This is a great book, a blessing to my life and really
helped me to realize so many things that are actually
happening in the spiritual world, and we dont
see them, reed it with a Bible and i dont recomend this
    book for “spiritual children”

  4. VandeWege says

What can you say about a book that supposedly contains a vision from God? How do you write a critique of revelation? It might be like trying writing a review of the book of Revelations. If the words are Holy Spirit inspired, does one have the audacity or the foolishness to cast dispersions upon it? I would highly recommend to anyone commenting on a book such as this that they think really hard about what they say. The Bible says `woe unto him who calls evil good and good evil.’ I don’t know about you, but I’ve made a practice in my life of avoiding woe. Mr. Joyner claims he received the contents of this book in a series of visions that took place over about a year in duration. Thus the big question becomes, is it legit? We need to discern between God’s word, man’s word, and Satan’s lies. It’s not always easy, because the flesh is weak and Satan is definitely ramping up his activities in the area of counterfeiting the supernatural.

Where do I start? How about with the reviews of the book on Amazon? Several one and two star reviews were written suggesting that Rick Joyner is a servant of the devil, deluded, and most heinous of all, doesn’t write well either. They warn that the book is dangerous. Ironically, one of the more salient aspects of the first part of the dreamlike adventure that the author goes through is doing battle against the enemy and discovering that many of the troops of the opposing army are deceived Christians. Do you see the dilemma here? Somebody is in error because they both can’t be right. Is Mr. Joyner representing God’s truth or are these reviewers being valiant defenders of the faith? The answer to that question is very critical. Besides the group of believers that are hoodwinked into fighting against God’s army in the belief they are fighting for Him are a group who just believe that they don’t need to fight. They believe that God is love, and all we need to do is just love, so they burn their draft notices. This is a different type of delusion, but is deception just the same. Personally, I’d really like to believe in a Pollyanna (or Beatles’ song) world where love is all you need. But I’ve been called to battle personally, and I recognize that the darkness is growing darker. The light is also growing more brilliant in response as the drumbeat is summoning the Christians soldiers onward. The two sides have clashed throughout the history of man. The final quest is at hand, according to this book.

Back to the quest – in between battles, the author is taken to Heaven and speaks with a few people there. Some were famous evangelists and authors who reside in the lower part of Heaven instead of the penthouse because they labored for their own glory while on the Earth. In some cases, God ended their lives early to prevent them from going all the way over to the dark side due to their pride. And in the places of highest honor, people that labored in anonymity for God with faithfulness and perseverance are found. One of these is a man who was homeless, what some would consider a bum. Ironically, my next book deals with the homeless, and the story of this man was a distinct revelation for me and an aid in deciding what to include in my book. I had to consider this a divine appointment for me to read this story at this time. Another concept that is super stressed is the importance of true humility. The author dons a cloak of humility which is a badge of honor among those in Heaven. A warning against false humility is issued, labeling it as another variety of self-centeredness. Pride is portrayed as the banner of a hidden army that the enemy uses to attack unsuspecting troops loyal to Jesus.

I have been on this humility bandwagon for a while now. I think God has been speaking to me about it. I’m reading a book by Andrew Murray on the topic. I’ve been trying to kill my flesh and ensure my motivation for any success is God centered. It’s a difficult task. This book points to centering your focus on Jesus, just like Peter did when he successfully walked on water for a few steps. We need to please Him and not the people around us, even those whom we love. And love leads to faith. From this book I’ve gained great insight into what the target should be. Self promotion, self-aggrandizement, and even self-esteem itself pale into insignificance at the comparison with the glory of God. Satan wants us to think about numero uno all the time. How else can we send out invitations to a pity party if we’re not focused on our puny little world and its inherent problems? Confucius said, “Man who wrapped up in self, makes very small package.” I’ve been guilty and still am. I’m trying to truly die to self, so that I might walk in God’s power and Spirit. That’s the kind of supernatural strength which is raising people from the dead and healing the blind and deaf. This book has given me a vision of what that is like. I highly recommend that you read it and with an open mind.

As to the detractors, what can you say about a review which portrays the author, who has just confessed being guilty to many things and extolls the virtue of humility and the danger of false humility, as being arrogant and falsely humble? My mom used to tell me, consider the source. The enemy is at work sowing lots of false teaching and doctrines and practices in our world today. It is confusing when Christians fight. However, Jesus said you will know them by their love. If any believer wants to criticize the writing or teaching of another, let him speak in love and not mockery, or I’m not going to listen. If the enemy is spreading false information (and that’s his specialty), will he not also attack the truth? Sometimes we fight battles that we don’t need to, similar to Don Quixote tilting with windmills. I truly believe that we are in the last days (many have thought that in the past and obviously they were wrong), and that means there will be a battle between God (good) and the devil (evil). Which side are you going to fight on? And remember, if Joyner’s vision is truly from God, not fighting will be the same as being on the enemy’s side. You might wonder how you can love and fight at the same time since those two activities seem to be contradictory. All I can say is – read this book, and you too will share the vision of that paradoxical position.

  5. Ingersoll says

It’s almost exactly ten years ago that someone gave me *The Final Quest.* I still have my copy. From the first page (”The demonic army was so large that it stretched as far as I could see …”) to the last (”But love is My greatest weapon. Love will never fail. Love will be the power that destroys the works of the devil.”), I have highlighted and underlined it, have put exclamation marks in the text, have scribbled notes, prayers, and admonitions in the margins.

The book absolutely grabbed me. I read it again and again. It became the prime motivator for my prayers, my worship, my yearning for God. I went on to read all of Joyner’s other books, as well as many of those connected to him. I listened to his teaching tapes and MorningStar’s worship CDs, subscribed to the MorningStar journal, and even visited his church in Charlotte.

All because I wanted to climb that allegorical mountain he describes in the book. I wanted to be as close to God as Rick, as close as Moses, as close as anyone had ever been. I wanted that because I had been deeply stirred by sentences like this: “At this time, even My greatest leaders are seldom in harmony with Me. Many are doing good works, but very few are doing what I have called them to do.”

I wanted to be in harmony with God. I wanted to do what He had called me to do. I wanted that true friendship with God that, according to *The Final Quest,* so few seem to have. I wanted to be part of the spiritual elite. The elite of the elite.

Not surprisingly, this desire took the form of wanting the same kind of prophetic experiences that Rick Joyner had. I, too, wanted Jesus to appear to me in visions and dreams. I, too, wanted to converse with angels and witness the miraculous flowing through my life. I wanted to be God’s friend, and what else could that mean but to have a direct communication line with Him? To be on top of that mountain? Like Moses. Like Rick.

The thing is, the whole scheme did not work. Ten years later, I look back and see that my obsession with being “closer to God,” of being “higher up,” of “seeing” and “knowing” and “experiencing” Him more, led me into ever greater illusions, the only way out of which were a whole row of disappointments. I did not reach the top of a mountain; I ended up in a dead end.

I have wished more than once that I had not been given this book ten years ago. But then again, I cannot put all the blame on the book. Maybe I would have become a hyper-spiritual Christian anyway – someone obsessed with his grand calling, his high goals, and his important battle, someone who was marching through life and had no time to smell the flowers on the wayside, nor to take care of the more practical sides of life.

Maybe I would have gone through that stage anyway. But the book certainly did not help. If you know a Christian who has a tendency to be hyper-spiritual, a strong craving for a calling, and a very goal-oriented personality, think twice before you give them *The Final Quest*. It might do more harm than good.

Great for Kids!! My daughter is in pre-k and I got her the kindergarten series. I got both by daughters a grade up. Keeps them entertained. Great way to pass time in a restaurant. My friends’ kids were so entertained that they went out and bought the brain quest cards and workbook.

  7. Sheets says

This is our third Brain Quest purchase and the family loves all of them. Age appropriate so that the child can answer most of the questions but not all so there is some learning involved. Sometimes even Mom and Dad learn something new. Fun family activity for airplane trips, in the car or a great alternative at bedtime instead of books.

  8. Joyce says

My kids are 4.5, the preschool cards were a little easy. the kindergarten cards are about right. Now usually with them I find the age ratings on toys are accurate, like other reviewers said the brainquest products are rated a little too old. Some of the concepts are beyond them but about 80% of the cards they are able to do at this age.

  9. Utvich says

I have been buying the cards from this Series for my grandson since he was 2 years old. I just bought him this last set for his 5th birthday.

This series is a great way to start a conversation with a little one and to teach them simple things grown-ups take for granted.

This particular selection will prepare my grandson for kindergarten this coming school year. He enjoys not only to be tested by other adults but also after he becomes familiar with the set, he likes to “test” his relatives.

The cards are portable enough to take along on long trips, visits to grandparents and just for fun. They are durable and easy to clean.

The cards are a great Christmas, birthday or just small present any time of the year for a small child.

I highly recommend parents, grandparents and just adults to buy them for the love ones.

  10. Battaglia says

I just bought this today for my three year old and we played with it for a little while and she seemed to enjoy it. Many questions were a little too easy, but there are some thing she doesn’t know yet–right from left, money, and counting by twos–but she will learn it quickly once I show her. My only worry is that after one or two times through the cards, she will know them. Granted, she is a very advanced child who could read and spell a fair amount of words at two, but I still think this will be fun for us, and I do think she will learn some things from this set.

  11. Motter says

Thanks for prompt delivery. This is a great product and I was happy to find it reasonably priced on Amazon.

  12. Depew says

My daughter is 4.5 and I thought preschool level would be just right for her, but it’s too easy – and she’s your average preschooler. Luckily I’ve got a 3 year old too, and she is enjoying these cards, so it’s not a total waste of money. I recommend those for kids under 4-5.

  13. Ahn says

Fun and challanging product for my 4 1/2 years old. He has some of the other cards alrady and this is one of the ones he didn’t have.

  14. Unsworth says

And she wants to “play” with it all the time. While we’re driving in the car or at home, my little one loves to go over the game. A definite home run for us!

  15. Chang says

Gave this as a gift. Did not open but it looked in great condition and received it in a timely manner.

  16. Thatcher says

I am a fan of the Warriors series, and like the others, Firestar’s Quest is full of huge emotion and I love how pictures and visions start giving our protagonist, Firestar, a hint about what he is to do. Loyalty is proven, love is shown, and the mystery of SkyClan kept me hanging on to every page, even when I read it a second time. What I say is: do not miss out on this spectacular Super Edition of Warriors. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

  17. Berberian says

Greetings, I am Rubytail of LeafClan, descended from SkyClan.(Chocolatedog). This is the amazing story of Firestar, his mate Sandstorm, the resurrection of SkyClan, and the brave cats who became members of this reborn Clan. It is truly a superb book, much better than that Horror of Three trash, Firestar’s Quest is worth at least ten stars. This tale is exciting, heart-felt, and dramatic. It has fierce and thrilling battles, fascinating histories of the Clans, and romance. Any Warrior fan should read, or even better, buy this book. You will not be disappointed!
    ~Rubytail

  18. Terrel says

This series, ostensibly for children, appeals on many levels to many ages. I would recommend this book and the series, itself, only to children 10 yrs or older. As for myself, I am a retired physicist of somewhat advanced years, and loved the series and this book in particular. Not only exciting, but quite spiritual.

  19. Urquhart says

This book is very good! It explains about how Firestar’s daughters came from as who was there mother (although I think everyone could have figured that one out). It also shaped what happened between Firestar and Sandstorm
